Owner and Dance Teacher
As an alumna of Swindon School of Dance, Ness studied ballet, jazz, contemporary modern and tap, before being accepted into the London Contemporary Dance School where she trained with London Contemporary & Ballet Rambert.
Dance as a career came to an end when Ness suffered a fracture of the spine, this led to a career in hospitality for the largest independent restaurant chains in the UK and USA.
Always having this niggling passion for dance, Ness then founded and taught community dance classes at the Lyppard Grange Community Centre teaching children and adult’s ballet, tap and jazz.
She currently choreographs for the Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society (PODS) and Pershore Operatic Dramatic Youth Society (PODYS) and is a relief teacher at a Worcester Ballet School.
Since Wychavon dance’s beginnings in 2019 we have grown with now teaching after school clubs and Wellbeing sessions for NHS and Worcester County Council.
Ness lives in Drakes Broughton and after 18 years in the West Mercia Police Force, Ness retired as a senior detective due to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS). After learning about the condition Ness became continually frustrated when other sufferers would talk about what they ‘can’t do’ due to the condition.
Ness has developed her ‘CAN DO’ attitude to life where she continues to teach dance and develop Wychavon Dance while managing her cognitive dysfunction and is an advocate of wellbeing and positivity and looking after mental health where dance, community and positivity play a huge part.
Ness has the condition, it does not have Ness!

Vicky has worked with UTD on the creation of their contemporary dance syllabus of work, and continues to lead courses with teachers around the country.
